Salad with tongue and pickled cucumbers

STEP 1
How to make tongue salad with cucumbers? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Large, selected eggs are needed. If the eggs are small, take 4 pieces. If the cucumbers are large, 2 pieces are enough, if small, then 3 are needed. Instead of lettuce leaves, you can use a ready-made salad mixture.
STEP 2
First boil the tongue until tender in water with the addition of a whole peeled onion, bay leaf, salt and allspice. This will make the tongue more aromatic and tasty. Remove the skin from the finished tongue. You need to cook the pork tongues for about 1.5-2 hours. I usually cook them late in the evening in a pressure cooker and leave them on the cooling burner until the morning - this way the tongues turn out tender and do not dry out.
STEP 3
Cool the tongue and cut into small long strips.
STEP 4
Cut the pickled cucumbers into long thin strips.
STEP 5
Boil the eggs hard, peel and cut into strips. For greater uniformity, you can grate the eggs on a coarse grater.
STEP 6
Finely chop the walnuts. You don’t have to add nuts at all, but they make the salad much tastier. You can replace the walnuts with salted peanuts or other nuts to taste.
STEP 7
In a salad bowl, combine pork tongue, pickled cucumbers, eggs, and walnuts. Season the salad with mayonnaise and mix.
STEP 8
Place lettuce leaves on a platter. Place the salad on top. You can sprinkle the salad with chopped nuts. If you wish, you can put the salad in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes. Serve the salad. Bon appetit!
