STEP 1
How to make a salad with orange, cheese and chicken? Prepare your food. Take the fillet chilled, it will turn out juicier and softer. It is better to take oranges that are sweet, with a slight sourness. Feta can be replaced with any soft cheese, and instead of balsamic vinegar, you can use wine vinegar or just add a little orange juice.
STEP 2
Heat a little vegetable oil in a frying pan, fry the chicken fillet over medium heat on both sides until cooked (about 5 minutes on each side), add salt and pepper to taste. Leave the finished fillet to cool.
STEP 3
Wash the lettuce leaves, dry them and tear them with your hands onto a flat plate for serving. It is important to do this with your hands, since contact with metal will quickly wither the greenery and lose its attractive appearance.
STEP 4
Wash the orange, peel it, cut off the top white part, exposing the pulp.
STEP 5
Cut out orange slices.
STEP 6
Cut the cooled fillet into thin slices.
STEP 7
Place orange slices, chicken and crumbled feta on lettuce leaves.
STEP 8
If desired, add parsley leaves or other herbs. Drizzle the salad with olive oil and drizzle with balsamic vinegar. If you don't like balsamic or don't have any, drizzle orange juice or wine vinegar over the salad. I no longer add salt to the salad, since the chicken is seasoned and the feta is always quite salty. Serve the salad immediately - after standing, the ingredients will release juice, which will negatively affect the taste and appearance of the dish. Bon appetit!
