Rug with jam

Very tasty, very easy, made from ordinary products, for the family! Jam crust is very easy to prepare - you just mix all the ingredients and bake the dough in the oven. The taste of the pie depends on the choice of jam. You can add dried fruits and nuts to make the baked goods more flavorful.

    STEP 1

How to bake a gingerbread with jam in the oven? Start by preparing the products according to the list. Use premium flour. You can use regular cow's milk or replace it with coconut milk if you want the gingerbread to be lactose-free. You can also use any jam you like. I have apricot. Instead of jam, you can use thick fruit jam or marmalade.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Combine milk, sugar and jam in a bowl. Mix everything with a whisk until smooth. You can use the mixer on low speed, but a whisk will do the job. You can add less sugar, especially if you have very sweet jam. I added all the sugar and the gingerbread turned out sweet, but not cloying.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour in the vegetable oil, add the sifted cocoa and mix everything again until smooth.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Sift the flour with salt and baking powder and add it to the dough in parts, stirring each time until smooth. It is important not to add all the flour at once, because you may need more or less. You need to focus primarily on the consistency of the dough.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

You should get a homogeneous viscous but flowing dough. If the dough turns out to be too thick and dense, dilute it slightly with milk, if, on the contrary, it is runny, add a little more flour.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Wash the raisins first, dry them and mix them into the dough. You can choose the varieties of raisins according to your taste. I have large dark raisins. The dough should be of such a consistency that the raisins do not drown in it, but are evenly distributed throughout the entire thickness of the dough.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Pour the finished dough into a greased baking pan lined with parchment (I have a square pan with a side of 22 cm). Bake the gingerbread in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 40-50 minutes. Determine the exact baking time and temperature based on your oven. Check the readiness of the pie with a skewer - it should be dry. Remove the finished gingerbread from the mold, cool and serve. Bon appetit!

I baked a gingerbread with jam. Instead of apricot jam, I used cherry jam. I mixed all the ingredients. I added 1 tbsp of cinnamon. Instead of baking powder, 1 tsp of soda slaked in table vinegar. After the gingerbread was baked, I soaked it in 1 tbsp of water plus the jam to so that it is softer. After the gingerbread has cooled a little, 1 tbsp. jam smeared it. It turned out like icing.

I don’t have a photo report, I just baked it, it was very tasty, I did everything by the gram and not by eye as always) a very decent cake made from nothing, I think if you soak it in something you’ll get a good cake, I took a large mold and had to smear it directly on the bottom, I thought damn it will be, but no, it turned out to be quite a plump pie) In short, I will always make it) Thank you.
