Roll Tale with candied fruits

The best cake straight from childhood! Treat your family and friends! I don’t know about you, but I remember Fairy Tale Cake from childhood. This is the kind of delicacy that my parents most often bought for me at the confectionery store (as a child, for me, a nutritious meal meant sweets). This culinary recipe, in my opinion, is as close as possible to the original. At least I tried it and it seemed so to me. In short, the dessert will definitely please you.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Let's prepare all the necessary ingredients.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Place the cooled eggs into the mixer bowl and beat at high speed until foamy.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add sugar and vanillin. Without stopping the machine, continue beating until the mixture becomes fluffy.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Next, reduce the speed and carefully stir in the flour. This is how the dough turned out.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Heat the oven to two hundred degrees, place the dough in a form greased with oil and covered with a parchment sheet - it should be a rectangular baking sheet.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Bake for about 10 minutes. Check readiness with a wooden stick. Roll the finished biscuit into a roll directly with parchment. Let it cool down like that.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

At this time, prepare the cream. To do this, beat softened butter with powdered sugar, vanilla and cocoa until fluffy.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

When the biscuit has cooled, carefully unroll it, remove the parchment, coat the inside with cream and carefully wrap it again. Apply the remaining cream on top.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Decorate the cake to your liking. Bon appetit!

Actually, it’s five tablespoons, not three. You need to take it in heaps, so it’s not a little. This is biscuit dough, it should turn out very tender and airy. Not cool by any means!!

Thank you very much for the recipe. I also think that this recipe is more like the real thing, and this cake was actually rolled into a roll and not laid out in layers and cut off at the edges as described in all other recipes. I will definitely do it your way. And if the taste of this “Fairy Tale” takes me back 40 years, then I will be doubly grateful to you.

Milada, delicious cake. And it's easy to prepare. The only thing is that my rectangular shape is too small, the sponge cake turned out thick and it was inconvenient to roll it.
