Rice porridge on water with ghee

Don't like plain rice porridge? Try this option - you'll love it! I love rice in any form. And when my son started eating porridge, he, contrary to my expectations, immediately disliked rice porridge. Well, he doesn’t like sticky things... And then this porridge recipe was born. I will show the basic version and at the end I will tell you how to diversify and supplement it.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Main ingredients. Just two makes it super delicious!

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Rinse the rice well with cold water. Fill with plenty of cold water, add a pinch of salt and put on fire. The ingredients indicate the amount of water that will be absorbed by the rice (or evaporate).

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Let's cook. If foam appears, remove it. I think it tastes better this way. Almost at the end of cooking, set the kettle to heat.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

After 15 minutes, the grains of rice will become uneven on top, which means they are ready. Place the rice in a colander and rinse with boiling water from the kettle.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Here is clean and already tasty rice. Not sticky and beautiful.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Heat the oil in a frying pan. Add rice to the oil and fry slightly. Rice gratefully absorbs oil and does not lose its taste and crispness. If you don't stir the rice, you'll get a golden crust.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place on plates (bowls) and serve.

What a beauty!!! And yes, this was the first time I learned that rice is also washed after cooking, like vermicelli... I’ll try to do that too.
