Quick and easy puff pastry pizza in the oven

A great way to make the famous pizza! In fact, this is not really pizza, but I haven’t come up with another name for this pie, I can only say with confidence that it is very tasty, aromatic and satisfying, and also very beautiful. The idea for this pie was born when my husband wanted pizza, and I wanted a pie like a quiche, but without filling, that’s what ended up happening. Try it too, I hope you like it. By the way, you can make this pizza from puff pastry.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

This pie is very easy and quick to prepare. First, turn on the oven to warm up to 200C. Now you can start testing. Roll out the puff pastry to the size of the mold (I used a square 18x18 or so) about 3mm thick

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Place in the mold and carefully prick with a fork, don’t forget about the sides.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Cover the top of the dough with baking paper or a sheet of foil and add beans (or peas, anything that can serve as a weight, some even use old coins for this) and in this form we send our basket to bake for 10-15 minutes (the weight will not allow our basket to look ugly deform)

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

During this time, the sides will brown a little, but not much.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Now we remove our load and in this form we send our basket to bake until ready, about 10 minutes

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

During this time, cut everything for the filling. Cut into half rings or rings. We take out the finished basket. The dough must be completely ready, since we will no longer bake it.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

We spread our filling, alternating cheese, tomato and meat, and fill it completely. If desired, sprinkle olive oil on top of the filling and place it in a hot, but already turned off oven for about five minutes. During this time, our cheese will melt, but will not fry and will be very tender and stretch beautifully! The pie is ready, decorate with basil leaves, quickly cut into 4 pieces and enjoy! Bon appetit!

Hurray, I finally found a person who did it with his own hands!... otherwise I was still afraid to try this method. Irish, please explain, how do you get those peas after the first phase? With a spoon, or with your hands, or what? Or does it not have time to become hot in such a time? Sorry for the stupid question, I've just never tried it.

it’s ridiculously easy to get it out)))) you gather the ends of the parchment together and leave it to cool, the beans are hot enough :) and then put them in a jar until next use

What a beauty, just a sight for sore eyes, the mozzarella looks amazing, the mint gives chic to the pizza, the tomatoes, the balyk in alternate placement created a pattern of a sequential process - very neatly and competently! But I think that pizza should only be made from a thin special dough suitable for pizza, everything else creates a completely different type of pie, but I hope I didn’t offend anyone with this, right? This is purely my attitude towards pizzas. I’m so glad to see you all! I think it’s time for pizza, it’s getting colder outside, and hot pizza brings people together!

Shura, thank you for your kind words :) I completely agree with you that this is not pizza, I wrote that at the beginning of the recipe)) but I called it that, I just couldn’t figure out how to call it anything else :)

Well, yes, Magnago, I already looked at the flag of Italy (green, white, red), but if yellow cheese is also considered a color, then it looks like the flag of Lithuania (yellow, green, red), I like the name, of course - pizza is a purely Italian hobby, so let it be so, only it’s easier to first put an adjective, then a noun, and then the definition itself - tricolor (Italian puff pastry - Tricolor), don’t mind, girls? How is it working out for us. We prepared a puff pastry, in a tricolor color, And called it Italian - on our advice. Let the tricolor play with a variety of colors, And all we were looking for was little links!
