STEP 1
How to bake puff pastry pies with meat in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Puff pastry can be used both store-bought and homemade. I have a purchased one, a package weighing 450 grams. It contains 4 sheets of dough - from one sheet you will get two pies, a total of eight pieces. Thaw the dough at room temperature for 50-60 minutes. Mix the minced chicken in a bowl with chopped onion, salt and pepper to taste.
STEP 2
Turn on the oven to 180 degrees in advance. Pour in cold water to make the minced meat juicy and mix everything thoroughly with a spoon.
STEP 3
Take one sheet of dough, place it on the table and roll it out lightly with a rolling pin, slightly enlarging the short side. It should be a rectangle.
STEP 4
Cut the dough sheet crosswise into two pieces with a knife. Lay out the filling in a long strip, not reaching the edges.
STEP 5
Pinch the dough around the minced meat into tubes in the middle and at the ends.
STEP 6
Line a baking pan with a piece of parchment of the appropriate size. You can choose the right parchment paper by reading a separate article, the link is at the end of the recipe. Lay out the blanks with the seam down. Lubricate the tubes with yolk mixed with a tablespoon of milk.
STEP 7
Place the baking sheet with the pies in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. The exact time depends on how your oven operates.
