Good afternoon! Potatoes with minced meat in layers in the oven is a rather unusual recipe for making a casserole from ordinary ingredients; such a dish has never been prepared before. And I am very pleased with the result. I didn’t put the onion raw for the filling, but sautéed it until translucent, and then added minced meat to it, which is how I like the taste better. The potatoes were also first stewed over low heat in sour cream (with the addition of a small amount of water) until half cooked, so that they retained their shape, but at the same time had time to cook in the oven. I prepared one and a half portions for the whole family, laid them out in layers in a baking dish with a diameter of 30 cm, lined with parchment so that the potatoes do not stick. Covered with a Teflon baking mat so that the top does not burn and put it in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30 minutes. Then I removed the mat and baked for another 15 minutes until browned. Potatoes must be cut into thin slices to maintain their puff shape when layered. Well, what can you say about the taste? It turned out very tender, the potatoes turned out soft due to preliminary stewing and soaking in sour cream filling, and at the same time perfectly retained their shape. I think that adding cream would have produced a richer creamy taste, but with sour cream it turned out very tasty! I added nutmeg and dried rosemary, it turned out incredibly fragrant. Our whole family liked this casserole and the children asked to cook it again tomorrow for an encore! Thank you very much for the recipe!
