    Clean the mushrooms from dirt and debris; washing them is not recommended, as they can absorb water and become watery. Cut into slices.

    Peel the onion and cut into half rings or slightly smaller, depending on the size of the onion.

    Wash the potatoes, peel and cut into large pieces, the same size as the meat.

    Fry it briefly over high heat, the meat should change color and lightly brown. This will seal the meat juice inside and the meat will remain soft and juicy. At the very end, add salt and pepper, as well as any other seasonings to your taste.

    Pour the remaining oil into the same pan in which you fried the meat. Place mushrooms in it.

    Place the top layer of mushrooms and onions in the pots. Place two tablespoons of sour cream in each pot and pour in a little water, 30 ml each. Instead of sour cream, you can put mayonnaise. But then salt all foods a little less, since mayonnaise already contains salt.

    Sprinkle finely grated cheese on top. Alternatively, you can mix grated cheese and sour cream and spread the resulting mixture on top of the dish. This will give you a more tender crust on top. To avoid burning the cheese, you can sprinkle it on the potatoes not immediately, but after half an hour of cooking.

    Cover the pots with lids. Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for about an hour. The exact time will depend on the features of your oven. Potatoes with meat in pots are always a hit with us! I made it today according to this recipe. Taking two 500 g pots, I first filled them with chopped potatoes. Then fried meat with onions. In general, according to the recipe, the meat had to be fried separately, and the onions with mushrooms. But, since instead of champignons I took dried mushrooms for cooking (I had honey mushrooms), I had to first soak them and then boil them, which is what I did. Next, I put them in pots without frying, and added the onions to the frying meat. I still had mushroom broth and poured it into the pots instead of water. I replaced the sour cream with mayonnaise, put it on top of the mushrooms, and added grated cheese on top. I cooked potatoes with meat and mushrooms in pots in the oven for one hour at 220°. 10 minutes before the end of cooking, I removed the lids from the pots so that the cheese could bake. It turned out very tasty! Honey mushrooms differ in taste from other dried mushrooms; they are sweet, aromatic, juicy, without any specific bitterness. With them the dish acquired new colors. My husband is delighted! Needless to say, the contents of his pot were instantly eaten. Thank you very much for the recipe!

Cooked a pot roast with meat and potatoes in a mini oven. Perhaps because of this the meat was not soft enough. I had to leave it for another 20 minutes. Otherwise the proportions were completely accurate. Although I was afraid that all the ingredients would not fit into the pots. It's in!
