STEP 1

How to bake potatoes in milk in the oven? To begin, prepare all the necessary ingredients. Turn on the oven to 180 degrees in advance. Choose medium potatoes. This way it will be better soaked in milk during baking. To make the overall appearance of the dish more beautiful, it is advisable to choose potatoes of the same size. Milk can be replaced with cream with a fat content of 10-20%. You can also choose spices according to your taste preferences.
STEP 2

Peel the potatoes. If you have large potatoes, you can cut them into small slices, then the finished dish will resemble a puff pastry. You can also cut the potatoes into medium cubes.
STEP 3

Boil water in a saucepan. Place potatoes in it. The water should completely cover it. Reduce heat to medium and cook potatoes for about 5 minutes. During this time, the potatoes will cook on the outside, but remain raw on the inside.
STEP 4

While the potatoes are cooking, boil the milk with a pinch of salt and ground coriander in a separate small saucepan or ladle.

Peel the garlic cloves. If they are very large, then they can be cut lengthwise into 2-3 parts.

After the potatoes have cooked for 5 minutes, drain them of water.
STEP 7

Transfer the potatoes to a baking dish.

Place garlic cloves, pieces of butter, and pepper on top of the potatoes.

Pour hot milk with spices into the pan with potatoes.

Wrap the form with foil.

Bake the potatoes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 40 minutes. If you want the potatoes to have a golden brown crust, remove the foil and leave to bake in the oven for another 15-20 minutes.
STEP 12

Serve the potatoes immediately while they are hot. It is suitable as a side dish, and can also be eaten as an independent dish. The finished potatoes can be decorated with chopped herbs. Bon appetit!
