Pork with vegetables in sweet and sour sauce
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make pork with vegetables in sweet and sour sauce? Prepare all products. To make the finished version bright and appetizing, I took bell peppers of different colors (half green and half red). Ginger powder can be replaced with fresh root. Adjust the amount of garlic and ginger to your taste. I used corn starch, it is softer and less sticky. Take 2 times less potatoes.
STEP 2
Rinse the pork and dry it with paper towels. Cut the pork into cubes, not too thick. Place the pieces in a deep bowl.
STEP 3
Add half the starch, pour in 2 tbsp. soy sauce and 100 ml. cold water.
STEP 4
Mix everything well and leave to marinate for 15-20 minutes.
STEP 5
Meanwhile, take care of your vegetables. Peel the onions, garlic and carrots. Cut the bell peppers into two parts and remove the core and stem. Rinse everything in cold water and dry.
STEP 6
Grate the carrots on a grater for Korean salads. Chop the onion into thin half rings, and cut the bell pepper into thin feathers.
STEP 7
Place tomato paste in a bowl or deep bowl, pour in the remaining soy sauce and vinegar. Add ginger powder and garlic, passed through a press or finely chopped by hand.
STEP 8
Add the remaining starch and sugar. Pour everything with one hundred milliliters of water and mix well until smooth.
STEP 9
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Send the marinated pork pieces to fry. It's better to do this in stages. I fried the meat in two batches.
STEP 10
So, over medium heat, stirring, fry the pork until cooked and golden brown.
STEP 11
Place the cooked meat on a separate plate.
STEP 12
Place the chopped vegetables in the same pan where you cooked the pork. Add a little oil if necessary.
STEP 13
Stirring, fry over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes.
STEP 14
Place the pork in the pan and pour in the sauce. Mix everything so that the sauce is evenly distributed over the vegetables and meat. Cover with a lid and leave on low heat for 3-5 minutes.
STEP 15
Taste and add salt if necessary. Usually this is not required, since the sauce itself is salty. Sprinkle the finished dish with sesame seeds and finely chopped herbs. Sprinkle with chili flakes if desired.
STEP 16
Ready! Serve hot!
