How to fry pollock in flour in a frying pan? Prepare everything you need for this. Remove the fish from the freezer in advance and let it defrost at room temperature.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Cut off the tail and fins of the fish. Remove the entrails. Rinse the fish well in running water and dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Cut the pollock into pieces 4-5 cm thick.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

In a separate bowl, mix flour with salt and spices. As a spice, you can use Provençal herbs, a ready-made set of spices for fish, or limit yourself to just ground pepper.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Carefully roll each piece of fish in the prepared breading on all sides. This trick will give the fish a delicious crispy crust.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Heat a frying pan until hot and pour in vegetable oil. Place all the breaded fish pieces and fry them on both sides for 7-8 minutes over low heat. Try not to make the fire too big. Let the fish cook well inside.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

The finished fish will become an appetizing golden color and covered with a crispy crust. There is no need to cover the pan with a lid. Otherwise there will be no crust on the fish.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Remove all fish pieces to a plate lined with paper towels to remove excess vegetable oil.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

For such fried fish, you can prepare any side dish or simply supplement it with fresh vegetables. Bon appetit!

Hello! More often we try to prepare dietary dishes, but sometimes you really want fried fish! Pollock fried in flour in a frying pan is an excellent and simple recipe. It is more convenient to cut pollock when it has melted a little, but is still slightly frozen, because It’s easier to cut out the fins (I always cut them at a slightly deeper angle so that there are no small bones left under the fins) and cut them into portioned pieces. I salted them and sprinkled them with spices and left them to soak the fish. It is convenient to bread it in flour in this way: pour sifted flour into a medium-sized cup and place pieces of fish on top and shake lightly in a circular motion, then the fish will be evenly covered with flour, and your hands will remain clean. I fried it in a small amount of oil. Maybe due to the fact that the fish is wet (after all, defrosted fish is very different from fresh), the breading has peeled off on some pieces... I think this is due to the fact that I cut the pieces differently, not like the author.. .But in general, thanks to the breading, the fish turned out to be very juicy. A delicious and simple fish recipe, thank you very much, Yulia!

I bought pollock, but I don’t know how to cook it. I looked for recipes on the website and decided to start with the simplest thing - pollock fried in flour in a frying pan. My fish is not very large, so it turned out to be mini steaks). First, I laid the pieces out on a paper towel to absorb water after defrosting. The fish was lightly salted. I used whole grain flour. I added paprika, turmeric, dried dill, black pepper and a little more salt. The fish was rolled in this aromatic mixture and fried in hot oil until golden brown. The pollock turned out golden brown, the crust was crunchy, and inside there was soft, tasty fish meat! There is practically no specific smell. If you sprinkle with lemon juice, it will be even tastier and more aromatic.
