Pizza with tomato sauce without meat and sausage

Traditional Italian pizza with tomatoes and mozzarella. The pizza turns out very flavorful, with a thin crispy crust. This is delicious. The sauce can be served not only with pizza, it goes well with pasta or meat dishes, it will go perfectly with just a piece of fried bread.

Step-by-step preparation

Cooking timeCooking time: 1 hr 20 mins
  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

We measure out the ingredients for the test.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

To prepare the dough, sift our flour into a bowl or just on the table, make a well in the center and pour warm water into it. Add sugar and yeast to the water and leave for 5 minutes so that our yeast goes into solution.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

After the yeast has dissolved, add olive oil, salt and knead the dough.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

The dough should be soft and elastic. Leave the kneaded dough to rest in a warm place for 30-40 minutes until it increases in volume. While the dough is resting, let's make the sauce.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Preparing ingredients for sauce and filling.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

To make the sauce, remove the skin from the tomato (to do this, make cuts on the tomatoes and put them in boiling water for 2 minutes, after this procedure the skin can be removed very easily).

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

We pull out the seeds (this is not necessary, but this way our sauce will boil down faster and will not be liquid).

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Finely chop the prepared tomatoes and place them in a heated frying pan with olive oil. Boil our sauce until thick (it took me about 15-20 minutes), at the end add salt, sugar and pepper to taste, finely chop the garlic and also add to the sauce, if desired, you can add dry herbs, I added basil and oregano.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

For the filling, cut the tomatoes into thin circles, and do the same with mozzarella (it can be replaced with any other cheese you have).

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Divide the risen dough into 2 parts (this portion of dough makes 2 pizzas with a diameter of about 24 cm).

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

The dough can be rolled out or stretched with your hands, I stretched it with my hands. Place our dough on a baking sheet.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Lubricate it with our sauce, put a layer of tomato on top.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

    Then a layer of mozzarella.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

We bake our pizza in a preheated oven at 220-230C, for about 7-10 minutes (depend on your oven, a light golden crust should appear on the dough). Sprinkle the finished pizza with fresh basil leaves and serve. Bon appetit!

Very simple and delicious recipe! The only thing is that I like to make pizza not with fresh tomatoes, but with tomatoes in their own juice. This way it turns out juicier, you don’t need ketchup and mayonnaise, and the tomatoes are very tasty and red)) Try cooking it this way too)))
