Pink salmon in the oven in cream sauce

Delicate, appetizing, healthy, very tasty! Pink salmon in cream sauce in the oven is an excellent fish dish. The addition of cream adds juiciness to the initially dry pink salmon meat. There is no shame in serving such fish on a festive table! You can take any side dish to suit your taste.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake pink salmon in cream sauce in the oven? Prepare your food. If the fish is frozen, first defrost it at room temperature. But it is preferable to do this by putting the fish in the refrigerator overnight. This way it will defrost gradually and better retain its nutritional properties. I took part of the fish without head and tail. Choose the fat content of the cream as desired (10-20%).

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Using a sharp knife, remove scales from the fish from the tail to the head. Cut off all the fins, rinse the fish thoroughly under cold water, and dry. You can cook pink salmon as steaks, or as fillets. If you use the second option, then cut the fish along the ridge into 2 parts. Carefully remove the spine and all intercostal and small bones.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Do not remove the skin, this will help the fish pieces retain their shape better. Cut the fillet into desired size pieces.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Salt the fish and place the pieces in a baking dish. When choosing a shape, keep in mind that the fish will be filled with sauce. Therefore, the height of the form should be optimal. I used a mold measuring 27*17*5.5 cm.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

For the sauce, take a deep container of suitable size. Pour in a small amount of cream, add flour so that the sauce acquires a thick consistency while baking. Lightly whisk everything with a fork until the flour is mixed with the cream and there are no lumps left.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Add the rest of the cream, pour in the olive oil, stir.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Add rosemary and basil to make the sauce fragrant. This will make the fish tastier. Use seasonings according to your tastes and preferences.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Wash the dill, dry it, chop it finely so that it better reveals its taste. The greens add a hint of spice to the creamy sauce.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Add dill to the sauce, mix everything well.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Pour the creamy sauce over the pink salmon pieces. It is advisable that the sauce completely covers the fish, so that it does not dry out during cooking.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Cover the fish pan with foil to prevent the sauce from boiling over.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Bake pink salmon in cream sauce in an oven preheated to 180C for 20-25 minutes. Cooking time may vary slightly as it depends on the operating characteristics of the oven.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Serve the fish hot with any side dish of potatoes, cereals or vegetables. Bon appetit!

I prepared pink salmon according to this recipe in the form of fillets, and the most difficult thing was to remove all the bones after cutting the fish into fillet pieces, and the recipe itself is super simple, but the resulting dish is super tasty - the fillet is juicy, and the cream adds tenderness to it, praise to the author
