Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

To prepare delicious oven-baked and pan-fried pies, we prepare the necessary ingredients.
STEP 2

Pour one hundred and fifty milliliters of warm milk and one hundred and fifty milliliters of warm boiled water into a measuring mug.
STEP 3

Add twenty-five grams of fresh pressed yeast to the mug, pour in two tablespoons of sugar and add two full tablespoons of flour.
STEP 4

Mix all the ingredients in a mug and set it aside to activate the yeast for fifteen minutes.
STEP 5

Break one chicken egg into a deep bowl, then pour half a teaspoon of salt into it.
STEP 6

Beat the egg well with a whisk, breaking up the white strands.
STEP 7

Pour three tablespoons of vegetable oil into a bowl.
STEP 8

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.
STEP 9

Pour the activated yeast from the mug into the bowl with the egg mixture and mix all the ingredients together.
STEP 10

Sift five hundred grams of wheat flour into a bowl with a liquid base, then add half a teaspoon of baking powder and mix all the ingredients together to knead the dough.
STEP 11

Place the dough on a table sprinkled with a small amount of flour and knead thoroughly for seven to ten minutes.
STEP 12

Gather the dough into a ball and place it in a bowl, then grease it with vegetable oil to prevent a crust from forming.
STEP 13

Cover the top of the dough with a plastic bag and place in a warm place for one hour.
STEP 14

To prepare the filling, boil seven hundred grams of peeled and chopped potatoes.
STEP 15

Finely chop one head of onion, then put it in a frying pan with vegetable oil added to taste and fry until golden brown, stirring.
STEP 16

Mash the hot boiled potatoes in a saucepan with a masher, then break and add one chicken egg to it.
STEP 17

Add fifty grams of butter to the pan and continue to mash the potatoes.
STEP 18

Place the fried onions from the frying pan into a common pan.
STEP 19

Mix all the ingredients together thoroughly and the filling for the pies is ready.
STEP 20

After one hour, grease the table with a small amount of vegetable oil and lay out the dough, which we then knead well and shape.
STEP 21

Divide the dough into fifteen equal pieces.
STEP 22

We make koloboks from pieces of dough, which we then place on the table and cover with a towel for fifteen to twenty minutes.
STEP 23

We make a cake of the required size from each bun and place one tablespoon of cooked and cooled potato filling on it.
STEP 24

We mold the edges of the filled cakes well.
STEP 25

We form the desired size pies.
STEP 26

Place the required number of pies on a baking sheet lined with parchment, cover the remaining pies with a towel and let them rest a little.
STEP 27

After twenty minutes, brush the tops of the pies with beaten chicken egg.
STEP 28

Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to one hundred and seventy-five degrees to bake the pies for fifteen to twenty minutes.
STEP 29
