Pie with currant jam on kefir

A very tasty recipe for the most delicate pie from the category of guests on the doorstep. An easy and quick-to-prepare pie with currant jam and kefir that everyone will love. Making it is a pleasure. Children can participate in its preparation for fun. The dough in this pie is well baked, tender, soft inside and with a crispy crust. This recipe is one of those that always turns out right. The taste of the pie is very pleasant, with a slight sourness, and the smell is currant. Those who try it for the first time wonder what is in the dough - cocoa or honey, and what kind of berries are there - dark raisins or some others (it is the currants that mislead them) :))) This recipe is also a great way to use kefir or yogurt that has stagnated in your refrigerator. It also happens that the jam is candied and there is no desire to eat it in this form. No problem, it’s perfect for this pie!

    STEP 2

First of all, you need to add soda to the container with currant jam, mix well and leave for 10-15 minutes. Take the container higher, as a violent reaction occurs and the jam begins to actively rise up.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Beat the eggs in a separate bowl and mix them thoroughly with sugar and a pinch of salt.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Then pour in the jam and mix thoroughly.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Then add kefir and mix again.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Add pre-sifted flour in small portions and mix. Then transfer the dough into the prepared form (greased, dusted with flour) and place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. My pie took 45 minutes to bake.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

This is what the finished pie looks like. Carefully remove it from the mold.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

I decided to sprinkle it with powdered sugar and decorate it with circles of chocolate melted in a water bath. Some housewives cover it with glaze. But even without decoration it is good. Prepare some tea and coffee and treat yourself to this wonderful delicacy!

I love homemade pies that smell of comfort and warmth. A pie with currant jam on kefir is just like that. I took the jam from yoshta. This is a hybrid of black currants and gooseberries, which is often confused with ordinary currants. I kneaded the dough. I used a little less flour than indicated in the recipe. The cake took longer to bake in my oven than recommended. I sprinkled the finished baked goods with powdered sugar. The children could hardly wait for it to cool down. It's soft and amazingly delicious on the inside! Thanks for the wonderful recipe!
