    STEP 1

How to make pea soup with pork? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. Any part of pork can be used. For a richer broth, use meat on the bone. Vegetables: onions, carrots and potatoes - peel and rinse to remove dirt. Peas for soup can be different. I have split peas, which do not require soaking and cook for 30-40 minutes. Look at the packaging and base the cooking time on your peas.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pour water over the pork, bring to a boil and cook for 1 hour. When boiling, foam will appear that needs to be skimmed off. After an hour, add peas to the pan. Leave to cook for 20 minutes.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Cut the potatoes into pieces and add to the soup.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Finely chop the onion, cut the carrots into cubes or grate them. Add onions and carrots to the soup. Add a little salt to taste.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Cook the soup for another 20 minutes. During this time, the potatoes and peas will become soft. Remove the pan from the heat.

I rarely cook pea soup, but yesterday I made it for lunch to add variety to my diet. I cooked the soup on a pork bone; I had a large leg bone. I boiled it well and the broth turned out very rich and tasty. But the peas let me down) Even though I soaked them in advance, they didn’t want to cook; I simmered them over low heat for about an hour. Sometimes you come across peas that are immediately boiled into puree, I like them like that) I also cooked the potatoes longer, we like them when they are slightly boiled, especially in pea soup. I grated the carrots on a coarse grater, it turned out more familiar and more homogeneous) When I was cooking the broth, I remembered that my aunt added smoked sausage in a natural casing at this stage. I also added it, the soup acquired additional taste and aroma. The soup turned out very tasty, rich, satisfying. Good recipe!

I made pea soup with pork for lunch. I prepared the pork bone broth the day before. I took split peas for the soup, washed them and soaked them overnight. In the morning I brought the broth to a boil, put the peas in a saucepan and cooked for 20 minutes. Then I put in potatoes, onions and carrots. I added a finely chopped tomato and bay leaf. Cooked the soup for another 40 minutes so that the peas were properly cooked. At this point it has already become quite soft, but has not yet turned into a puree. At the end I added salt, chopped parsley and dill (I had it frozen). The soup came out very aromatic and tasty! Moderately thick and rich! My mom used to make this without frying the onions and carrots. The soup turns out without excess fat, but no less tasty! I really like this method of cooking! Thank you very much for the recipe!

I love pea soup very much, but I always cook it with smoked meats. But I cook your quite simple but very tasty soup for my daughter. Pork gives such a pleasant aftertaste that my daughter gnaws on both cheeks. I also cook this soup, but without frying the vegetables, put finely diced onions and carrots in the pan. I also like pea soup with chickpeas, here is its recipe
