  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make pancakes from powdered milk? Measure out all foods. Take warm water. The remaining products should also be at room temperature. Sift the flour through a fine sieve into a deep and wide bowl. This will saturate it with oxygen and make it more airy.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Add powdered milk and remaining dry ingredients to the flour. Mix everything well.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Make a well in the flour mixture. And pour half the volume of water into it in parts, while kneading the dough.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Knead the dough using the convenient tools you have - a fork, a blender, a whisk, a mixer.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Beat an egg into the dough. Stir it until smooth. The dough should end up very soft.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Gradually add the remaining water to the dough and add 0.5 tablespoons of oil. Mix everything. You can let the dough sit for about 10 minutes. During this time, turn on the stove and heat the frying pan. Keep in mind that more or less water may be needed - use the type of dough as a guide.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Grease the heated frying pan with a cotton swab, dipping it into the oil - and do this every time. Then pour the dough with a ladle, tilting the pan in the desired direction. Fry the pancakes for two minutes on both sides over high heat.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Place each pancake on a wide plate - either in a slide or rolling them at your discretion.

Late in the evening, the son was confronted with the fact that the next day he needed pancakes for school to celebrate Maslenitsa. But there was not a drop of milk in the house. I started looking on the website for a recipe for pancakes with water, but found something even better - pancakes with dry milk! Our milk powder was sitting in the refrigerator unnecessarily. When preparing, I followed the recipe, first sifted the milk powder through a sieve along with flour, and made a liquid, homogeneous dough. Everything turned out great, the pancakes came out thin, tender and very tasty. Only during the process I greased the pan more often than during normal baking of pancakes (I don’t know what this is due to, a small amount of vegetable oil in the dough or the presence of dry milk). Perhaps, in my case there was only one drawback - I didn’t immediately foresee the quantity, there weren’t that many pancakes (about 12-15 pieces), I had to bake a second batch right away. The recipe is excellent, perfect for situations like mine, when regular milk is not on hand. Thank you!
