Orange jam in a slow cooker

Fragrant, bright, colorful jam! A piece of sunshine in a jar!!! I never thought that it was possible to make jam from oranges))) If you say “simply delicious” is not the right word, amazing! I prepared a jar to try - it flew away in an instant) The jam is very bright and aromatic. Prepare your household “a piece of sunshine in a jar”))

Step-by-step preparation

Cooking timeCooking time: 2 hr
  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Let's prepare the products. Wash the oranges and lemon well.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Let's prepare the jar. It needs to be sterilized. It’s convenient for me to do this in a slow cooker) Pour 1 liter of water, turn on the “Steam” mode and place the jar on the steam basket.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Carefully cut the washed oranges in half, do not throw away the peel))) We will prepare another dessert in it, I will tell you about it in the next recipe)))

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Carefully cut the pulp into pieces, clean as much of the white films and partitions as possible (so that the jam does not become bitter). The process is labor-intensive, but it's worth it)))

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

We put everything in a multicooker bowl, pour in sugar, squeeze out the juice of half a lemon, pour in some water and leave for 30-40 minutes so that the orange pieces are soaked in our syrup)

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

And now the cooking process begins)) Place the bowl in the multicooker, turn on the “steam” mode, wait for the jam to boil and cook for 5 minutes. All this must be done with the lid open. Please take a look at your multicookers. Then leave the jam until it cools completely. Then we cook it again in the same way)) We repeat the process of “cooking for 5 minutes and cooling” 2 more times. Boil this way 3 times in total.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

After the third time of cooking, you need to grind the jam in a blender. You can do it directly in the multicooker bowl, but if you are afraid of damaging it, it is better to pour it into another saucepan. Grind a little with a blender. You don’t have to chop it - it’s all about the taste) Shredded is more tender and rich for me)

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Then put the bowl back into the multicooker and boil again.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Pour the finished jam into sterile jars. Cool and store in the refrigerator)

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

We didn’t have it for a long time) We ate it quickly) Bon appetit!

How delicious it must be! And it’s a very interesting technology; you can probably make jam from other fruits in this way. I'm putting it in the cookbook.
