Orange cupcake with frosting

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

All ingredients should be at room temperature.
STEP 2

I zest only the bright part of the orange. The white one will be bitter.
STEP 3

I squeeze the juice out of one half (for the sugar glaze), peel the other half, cut it for convenience and puree it with an immersion blender.
STEP 4

I measure out 30 g. The rest can be eaten :)
STEP 5

Beat softened butter with sugar until white.
STEP 6

Then add the eggs one at a time, beating well each time. Just 3-4 minutes after each egg.
STEP 7

Then I sift the flour with baking powder, salt and vanilla. I mix everything well.
STEP 8

Then I add the zest and puree. This is how the dough should turn out. Photos do not convey the true color of the dough. It is a delicate light shade. And very fragrant.
STEP 9

I put it in the form. For convenience, I lined the sides and bottom with parchment paper.
STEP 10

I bake in a preheated oven at 170-175 degrees for 40-50 minutes. I check the doneness with a wooden toothpick.
STEP 11

Let it cool slightly and remove from the mold.
STEP 12

For the glaze, I mix the juice with powdered sugar and mix everything well. This is approximately the consistency you should get.
STEP 13

Using a teaspoon, carefully spread onto the COMPLETELY COOLED cake.
STEP 14

I let the glaze harden. Then it acquires a beautiful matte shade.
STEP 15

And you can invite everyone for tea:) The cake turned out to be tender, moist, fragrant, bright, beautiful and simply very tasty.
STEP 16

We really liked it, I hope you like it too!!! If only you could hear that crackling sound of dough when you touch it. It's so buttery and moist, yet tender. And very, very fragrant!
STEP 17

I hope you liked the recipe and find it useful. This one is not at all difficult to prepare, with minimal time investment. And the result is simply amazing! I wish everyone a great mood!
