How to make honey mustard sauce with soy sauce? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Pay special attention to the choice of soy sauce. Buy only naturally brewed soy sauce. You will need the juice of half a lemon from a lemon, so you can take ready-made factory-made lemon juice.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Add lemon juice to soy sauce. If you squeeze juice directly from a lemon, first wash it with very hot water, you can even scald the lemon with boiling water - this will release much more juice. I also recommend using a small sieve so that the lemon seeds do not get into the juice.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add honey. It can be absolutely anything, but it must be a natural product, not a honey product. If your honey is too thick, heat it for literally 10 seconds in the microwave or in a water bath. I use flower honey.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add mustard. It can also be absolutely anything: grain, Dijon, French. I use regular Russian spicy mustard. You can substitute 1 tsp mustard. mustard powder.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Add ground pepper. I use a mixture of hot peppers, but one type of hot pepper: black or red will work fine. You may want to add some seasonings to suit your taste. I note that not all known spices go well with soy sauce, but ground rosemary, dried or fresh garlic, as well as Provençal herbs will definitely work here.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Mix the sauce well. Stir until the sauce has a homogeneous texture; the mustard should disperse very well.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

This sauce can be used as a marinade for meat or chicken, as a dressing for vegetable salad, or as a sauce for fish and vegetable dishes. Bon appetit!

To marinate rabbit meat, I used the recipe for mustard soy sauce. I made half a portion because I only marinated the front legs, neck and back. This amount of sauce was just enough. For the sauce I used liquid aromatic flower honey; I like it when the meat is slightly sweet. My mustard is homemade, I just prepared it fresh in cucumber brine. I added a little red pepper for some spice. I mixed the marinade and decided to supplement it with mustard seeds so that they would crunch in the finished dish. The meat was marinated overnight in a bag. For lunch I baked a rabbit and it turned out very tasty with a golden brown crust. The meat is soft, slightly sweet, with a hint of spice. Now I'm going to marinate the chicken)
