For dinner I decided to cook meatballs with cheese in the oven in sour cream sauce. I had minced chicken and decided to use it. I didn’t have a loaf of bread, so I decided to improvise and added short-grain rice boiled until half cooked (cooked for 10 minutes) to the minced meat. I diced the onion and beat in the egg. From the spices I took paprika, ground black pepper and dried garlic. The minced meat turned out watery, so I added a few tablespoons of semolina. I mixed it and let it sit for about 20 minutes, then beat the minced meat on the bottom of the bowl, as the author recommended. When forming the meatballs, I put a cube of cheese in the middle of each and placed them in a baking dish. The sauce was made not from sour cream, but from homemade tomato with the addition of mayonnaise, water and dried parsley. It turned out very tasty and satisfying. The kids loved the cheese filling. I made it with minced veal and added tomatoes instead of tomato paste. Otherwise, I made the meatballs with cheese according to the recipe, in the oven. I added sour cream to the sauce at the very end, I was afraid it would curdle, but no, everything worked out. Thank you for the wonderful recipe!
