Mayonnaise in a blender with mustard
The best homemade mayonnaise recipe. Tasty and inexpensive! Many people remember the taste of "Provencal" mayonnaise, sold in grocery stores in the eighties of what has recently become the past of the twentieth century. Despite the fact that today there is a huge selection of mayonnaise in stores, it is quite difficult to find the same taste familiar from childhood. Therefore, I had to remember the culinary recipe I heard somewhere in deep childhood for “Homemade Provencal” mayonnaise, which even in those distant years some housewives prepared with their own hands, considering it tastier and healthier than store-bought.
Ingredients
Servings: 10
Step-by-step preparation
Cooking time: 10 mins
STEP 1
Ingredients
STEP 2
Thoroughly mix the egg, mustard, sunflower oil, salt, sugar, lemon juice
STEP 3
Place it in a blender bowl and beat for a couple of minutes at medium speed with a whisk, taking breaks every minute. A whorl is a round attachment with holes for whipping cocktails.
STEP 4
The finished mayonnaise is white and slightly covered with white foam.
STEP 5
I transfer Provencal nostalgic mayonnaise into a small container and put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours to thicken. After this time, it can be used to season any food, for example, the signature dish of any holiday table - Olivier salad, which is called “Russian” all over the world.
STEP 6
Bon appetit!

The recipe is wonderful, very easy and quick to prepare. But we usually use more natural types of vinegar for ourselves - wine (gives sourness) or apple (gives a sweet taste). Many thanks to the author.
