  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make manna with kefir without eggs? Prepare your food. Take kefir with a fat content of 2.5%. Remove it from the refrigerator in advance; it should be at room temperature before the cooking process begins. You can reduce the amount of sugar, the manna turns out noticeably sweet. Take a small pinch of vanilla; in large quantities it can taste bitter. Instead of vanilla, you can take a teaspoon of vanilla sugar.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Take a large bowl for the dough. Pour semolina and sugar into it, add soda and vanillin. I also always add a pinch of salt to any sweet baked goods - it acts as a flavor enhancer. Mix dry ingredients with a whisk.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour kefir into the dry ingredients, while whisking vigorously. Stir the mixture until completely homogeneous - this will happen very quickly, the dough is well kneaded and comes out without lumps. The soda will immediately react with the acid contained in the kefir - you will see the dough bubble. This means that the release of carbon dioxide has begun, which will raise our baked goods and make them fluffy.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Take a suitable baking dish. Any heat-resistant pan will work for this recipe. If you use a silicone mold, there is no need to coat it with butter or margarine. But it is better to lightly grease metal, ceramic or glass dishes with vegetable oil so that the baked goods do not burn. I have a silicone one, I immediately poured the dough into it.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Place the form with the dough in it. Bake the manna for 45 minutes to an hour. Keep in mind that everyone's oven is different. Cooking temperatures and times may differ from those indicated in the recipe. My manna baked for 50 minutes, but you could have left it longer to make it more golden brown.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Remove the finished manna from the oven and cool completely. Remove it from the mold and serve. You can sprinkle the manna with powdered sugar and decorate it to your liking. Bon appetit!

I baked quite a few mannikovs, all different ones, with and without additives) I also baked them without eggs, but according to a slightly different recipe. In general, it’s just great that there are recipes for baking without eggs, because sometimes they run out at the most inopportune moment, but you need to bake a cake. This recipe uses a minimum of ingredients and is very affordable in terms of ingredients. When I had already mixed the dry products, it turned out that there was only one glass of kefir left, but I found natural yogurt without additives. I used it in the dough. I let the finished dough sit for about 15 minutes. I think this is necessary for the semolina to swell and the pie to turn out fluffy. Instead of baking soda, I added baking powder. The semolina dough is heavy, so I add quite a lot - 10 g. While the dough was infusing, I found a couple of apples with “not beautiful” skin) I decided to use them in baking too. Only my daughter doesn’t like all sorts of pieces in the dough and chooses them carefully) Therefore, it was decided to turn the apples into puree and “hide” them in the dough. To do this, I peeled and grated the apples on a fine grater, then put the mass in a ladle and heated until the mass softened. After that, beat with a submersible blender and mixed into the finished dough. Whatever a mother can come up with for the sake of her child))) In the end, the finished manna came out incredibly juicy and aromatic. The apples didn't make the dough soggy at all. On the contrary, the manna turned out soft and porous. And the taste is simply great! Don't be afraid to experiment! Thank you very much to the author for the recipe)
