  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Let's prepare the necessary products for mastic: marshmallows, powdered sugar, butter, lemon juice and dyes.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Place marshmallows in a saucepan over a steam bath, add lemon juice and butter. And wait 5-7 minutes until the marshmallows are completely melted.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Check to see if all the marshmallows have melted into a homogeneous mass and remove from the bath.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add powdered sugar little by little and mix with a spatula.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

When the mastic begins to thicken and it is no longer possible to stir with a spatula, knead the mastic with your hands like dough, adding powdered sugar as needed.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

The finished mastic, rolled into a ball, keeps its shape and does not sag.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Add dye drop by drop to a small piece of mastic. Knead and achieve the desired color.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

While we are making mastic of other colors, wrap the finished mastic in film and put it in the refrigerator so that it does not dry out.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

From the resulting mastic we make construction parts as if from plasticine. First we make a brick.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Using a straw, squeeze out circles from the scraps. We wet them on one side with water.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

We glue the circles onto the bricks, achieving similarity with the details of the construction set. We sculpt a Lego man from mastic from life or from a color image. We leave everything to dry at room temperature.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

We take everything you need for the cake dough: flour, sugar, butter, eggs, soda, honey.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Place sugar, butter and honey in a saucepan over a steam bath. Melt everything to a homogeneous liquid mass.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Add soda, stir and let simmer for a minute. During this time you can beat the eggs.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

After a minute, thanks to the soda, the mixture will become airy and rise slightly.

  16. STEP 16

    STEP 16

Now is the time to add the beaten eggs. Pour in slowly, stirring constantly.

  17. STEP 17

    STEP 17

Cook everything together for 3-4 minutes until the mixture increases in volume by 2-3 times.

  18. STEP 18

    STEP 18

Remove from the steam bath and gradually add sifted flour. Mix carefully.

  19. STEP 19

    STEP 19

Add flour and knead the dough until it becomes homogeneous, soft, slightly sticky and flowing.

  20. STEP 20

    STEP 20

Shape the dough into a loaf, wrap it in film and put it in the refrigerator for 1.5 hours. After refrigeration, the dough will become dense and less sticky.

  21. STEP 21

    STEP 21

The dough from the refrigerator must be divided 10 times into 11 equal parts. On baking parchment, roll out one part into a flat cake about 2mm thick and about 20cm in diameter.

  22. STEP 22

    STEP 22

We cut the cake into an even circle, using, for example, a pan lid.

  23. STEP 23

    STEP 23

Place on a baking sheet along with parchment and place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. After 5 minutes, if the cake has acquired a golden color, take it out and bake the next one.

  24. STEP 24

    STEP 24

In this way we prepare all 11 cakes. The cakes have cooled down, we can start preparing the cream.

  25. STEP 25

    STEP 25

For the cream we use sour cream and sugar.

  26. STEP 26

    STEP 26

Whip the sour cream with a whisk, add sugar, mix.

  27. STEP 27

    STEP 27

Place the cakes one on top of each other on a plate and spread sour cream between them.

  28. STEP 28

    STEP 28

We collect the whole cake and leave it to soak at room temperature for 2 hours.

  29. STEP 29

    STEP 29

Let's do the cream under the mastic. Ingredients for it: shortbread, butter, boiled condensed milk.

  30. STEP 30

    STEP 30

Grind the cookies in any convenient way.

  31. STEP 31

    STEP 31

Mix condensed milk thoroughly with butter.

  32. STEP 32

    STEP 32

Add crushed cookies little by little into the resulting homogeneous mixture and mix.

  33. STEP 33

    STEP 33

    Mix the cream until smooth.

  34. STEP 34

    STEP 34

Coat the cake well with cream on all sides.

  35. STEP 35

    STEP 35

And to harden the cream, put it in the refrigerator for 4-5 hours. Meanwhile, after some time in the refrigerator the cream will harden a little. We take out the cake and smooth the cream well into the mastic. Place back in the refrigerator until completely frozen.

  36. STEP 36

    STEP 36

We will cover the cake with yellow fondant. Roll it out into a flat cake, first grease the table and rolling pin with oil.

  37. STEP 37

    STEP 37

We put the mastic on the cake and smooth out all the folds well. We cut off the excess and make a border at the base of the cake.

  38. STEP 38

    STEP 38

In a circle on the side of the cake we glue small circles prepared in advance, greased with water. Leave space, if necessary, for the number.

  39. STEP 39

    STEP 39

    Let's create a number.

  40. STEP 40

    STEP 40

Using toothpicks, attach a Lego man figurine made of fondant to the top of the cake.

  41. STEP 41

    STEP 41

We decorate the cake with mastic construction parts on top. Now the simple culinary design solution is ready to be served. Have a good mood and bon appetit!
