  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to fry pita bread with cottage cheese and egg in a frying pan? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Instead of or together with cottage cheese, you can use any cheese, soft or hard. Choose cottage cheese of any fat content, the main thing is that it is fresh and of high quality.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Beat chicken eggs into a deep bowl, the number of eggs can be taken according to taste and desire, the more eggs used, the more filling there will be. Add a pinch of salt and ground black pepper to taste. Before using, wash eggs in water and soda, as there may be harmful bacteria on their surface.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Whisk all ingredients with a whisk or fork until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Take cottage cheese and mash with a fork. If the cottage cheese is very dry, you can add a little cream, milk, sour cream or even mayonnaise. Place cottage cheese into egg mixture. Add fresh chopped parsley and dill (you can use other herbs to taste). Add your favorite spices if desired. Mix everything well.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Take some pita bread. You can use it all if the frying pan is large, but it is better to cut a piece of flatbread of the right size so that the layers of dough do not overlap each other, otherwise the flatbread will turn out thick and dry. Place a piece of butter in a frying pan and melt it over the fire. Place the pita bread in the pan.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour the egg mixture with cottage cheese into the center of the pita bread and close the filling with the edges of the pita bread, forming a flat cake. There is nothing wrong if the cake does not turn out to be an even round shape. This can happen if the pita bread is dry. If you want to make the pita bread more manageable, first grease it with melted butter and let it soak.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Fry the stuffed pita bread on one side for about 2-3 minutes over medium heat; when the bottom of the flatbread begins to turn golden brown, turn it over and continue frying on the other side until golden brown.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

To be sure that the chicken eggs are well baked inside, you can cover the frying pan with a lid for a couple of minutes. Remove the pita bread with egg from the frying pan, cut it while it is warm into portions and serve as a breakfast or snack with tea or coffee or juice. Bon appetit!

I discovered a new idea for breakfast: lavash with cottage cheese and egg in a frying pan! I mixed cottage cheese with eggs and salt. Melted the butter. Placed the lavash on the frying pan. I trimmed the edges of the pita bread a little. I put the filling on the pita bread and covered it with the edges of the pita bread. Cover the pan with a lid and fry on both sides until browned! I just didn’t use greens (my son asked for no greens). It turned out to be an excellent breakfast, and together with coffee and milk mm...delicious! I recommend it for cooking and thanks to the author for the wonderful recipe 👍

I searched the website for recipes involving thin lavash and found a wonderful breakfast option. Lavash with cottage cheese and eggs in a frying pan is easy and interesting to prepare! My pita bread was rectangular, I didn’t cut it, I just folded the ends on top. I had some cottage cheese left, mixed it with eggs and added green onions and a piece of hard cheese of my own. Heat the butter in a frying pan, lay out the pita bread, pour in the filling and smooth it out to make a circle. I cut the ends of the pita bread and folded them on top. I sprinkled a little more cheese under them so that it would hold the lavash together, and it would give you more filling. Before turning the pita bread, spread a little oil on top and turn it over using two spatulas. It turned out to be easy to do! And the butter turned out to be on the bottom and the pita bread continued to fry. Some of the oil was absorbed during the process, and I blotted off the excess with a napkin. It turned out to be a whole layer cake, similar to khachapuri! Very tasty! Crispy crust on top, juicy filling inside! I recommend!
