I liked the recipe for juicy chum salmon steaks in the oven. I had one steak and cooked it for my husband for dinner. I didn’t have much time to stand at the stove, so the baking option really helped out. The steak was frozen, I defrosted it on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. After defrosting, a lot of liquid is released, I tried to remove it as much as possible with paper towels. The marinade made from soy sauce, mustard and honey is my husband’s favorite). The steak was marinated in it for 15 minutes, then baked for 20 minutes in the oven. For spices, I used dried rosemary and freshly ground pepper. The chum salmon steak turned out really juicy. The aromatic sauce was deliciously baked on top of the fish. When serving, sprinkle with a little lemon juice. My husband liked the steak; with fresh vegetables it was a complete dinner.
