Juicy apple pie made from ready-made puff pastry without yeast

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

To prepare the pie, prepare the necessary ingredients. You can make puff pastry yourself, but it is more convenient to use ready-made store-bought dough. It is sold frozen. Therefore, before starting cooking, remove the dough from the freezer so that it thaws at room temperature. Puff pastry can be used with or without yeast. Wash the apples to remove dirt.
STEP 2

Lightly grease the bottom and sides of the baking dish with a small amount of vegetable oil. Roll out the layer of puff pastry to the size of the mold. I use a small pan, about 25-27 centimeters in size. Place the dough in the prepared pan and tuck it a little in the corners to make them neater. The mold can be ceramic, glass or metal.
STEP 3

Cut the apples into 4 parts and cut out the core. Then cut the apples into thin slices. Sprinkle the apples with a little lemon juice to prevent them from darkening.
STEP 4

Place the sliced apples over the entire surface of the dough. 2 large apples were enough for me. If the apples are smaller, you can take another one. Melt the butter in a small bowl and, using a brush, brush all the apples and the edges of the dough with melted butter.
STEP 5

Sprinkle sugar all over the apples. Brown sugar can also be used for this purpose. It will give the taste of the pie a hint of caramel. Place the pie in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Be guided by your oven. During baking, the apples will release juice, and the dough on the sides will turn golden.
STEP 6

Remove the finished pie from the oven and cool completely. A sufficient amount of juice will be released from the apples, so if you start cutting the pie right away, the juice will flow out of it. While it cools, the juice will be absorbed into the dough and it can be easily cut. Serve it with tea or coffee! Enjoy your meal!
