Jellied pie with cottage cheese in the oven
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make jellied pie with cottage cheese in the oven? Prepare your food. First for the test. Sour cream is suitable for any fat content. You can reduce the amount of sugar, the dough turns out quite sweet.
STEP 2
How to make the dough? Wash the eggs and dry them. Be sure to wash your eggs before using them, as even seemingly clean shells can harbor harmful bacteria. It is best to use food grade detergents and a brush. Beat them into a bowl. Add sugar and a pinch of salt to the eggs (it will act as a flavor enhancer). Beat them with a mixer at high speed until a fluffy light mass.
STEP 3
Add sour cream to beaten eggs. Also use a mixer to mix it into the egg mixture.
STEP 4
Add baking powder to the flour and stir. This way it will be distributed throughout the flour and the dough will rise evenly. Sift the flour and baking powder into the liquid part. By doing this you will not only remove possible debris, but also saturate the flour with oxygen, which will make the cake more airy.
STEP 5
Stir the dough until smooth. You can already use a spatula or do this with a mixer. The dough will be quite liquid, as it should be.
STEP 6
The next step is to prepare the filling. Prepare the filling for it. Cottage cheese is suitable for any fat content, the main thing is that it is tasty and natural. I have a grain one, it’s not scary, since the filling will come through with a blender.
STEP 7
How to make the filling? Place the cottage cheese in a deep bowl. Add sugar, starch, vanillin to it, beat in the egg. Add lemon zest to taste - I grated it directly into the bowl, half a lemon was enough for me.
STEP 8
Using an immersion blender, puree the filling until smooth. If you don’t have such a device, you can rub the cottage cheese through a sieve and then simply mix all the products.
STEP 9
Take a baking dish. I have a detachable one, with a diameter of 20 cm. Lubricate it with a drop of vegetable oil. I previously covered the bottom with parchment. Pour half the dough onto the bottom and smooth it out with a spatula.
STEP 10
Place the curd filling on top and distribute it evenly.
STEP 11
Pour the other half of the dough onto the filling and spread it over the filling.
STEP 12
Place the pie in an oven preheated to 180°C. Bake it for 30-35 minutes, it should brown well and rise. Check doneness with a wooden skewer - it will come out dry from the center of the pie. Remove the pie from the oven and cool completely. Then release it from the mold.
STEP 13
Serve the pie to the table. Bon appetit!
