STEP 1

How to cook squid tasty and simple? Prepare all the necessary products. First of all, you will need squid carcasses. They are usually sold frozen, so it is very important to defrost them correctly. Immediately after the freezer, place the carcasses in the refrigerator compartment, where the temperature is 5 degrees for 6 hours. Then continue defrosting at room temperature. With this defrosting, the product will retain the maximum of nutrients.
STEP 2

The squid also needs to be cleaned well. I already have half-cleaned squid. But in the unpeeled version, first of all you need to remove the top thick pink skin - I just have the carcass after removing it. But after that you also need to remove another thin transparent skin and remove the insides. To remove the skin more easily, use hot water; thanks to it, the skin can be easily removed with a stocking. Also keep in mind that there is skin inside the carcass too.
STEP 3

Next comes the very important process of boiling the squid. First, boil water in a saucepan and add a little salt. When the water boils, place the cleaned squid skins into it. Cook the squid for no more than 2 minutes, preferably 1.5 minutes. If you overcook the squid, it will be tough, like rubber. And in order for it to become soft again, you will need to cook it for another 2 hours. Keep this in mind!
STEP 4

Remove the skins, drain the water and cool slightly. Using a thin sharp knife, cut the boiled squid carcasses into rings.
STEP 5

If desired, sprinkle the rings with lemon juice. If you are squeezing juice directly from a lemon, wash it thoroughly with very hot water first - this will release much more juice from the lemon. It is also quite possible to use ready-made factory-made lemon juice.
STEP 6

Pepper the squid rings - any ground pepper will do: black, white, red, and pepper with lemon and garlic flavor.
