Homemade bagels with minced meat in the oven

Bagels can be eaten not only with tea, try them in another quality! For some reason they say that this dish came from the Soviet Union. Personally, I don’t remember it in my childhood, which is probably why it interested me. The main advantage is speed and simplicity. It’s quite possible to whip up dinner after work. Fast and hassle-free. Moreover. The recipe can be varied, you can come up with a sauce, add potatoes or pasta, they can easily be baked among the bagels, and once soaked in the aroma of meat, they will be very tasty. Well, as a last resort, sprinkle with cheese or add mushrooms. The advantages include cooking in the oven, the food is more tasty and healthy. Minced meat can be taken from different types of meat, my homemade minced pork and chicken. For those who carefully monitor their weight, you can use turkey; this will not spoil the taste of the bagels. The most important thing is to take unsweetened bagels, I found egg ones. In no case are they sugary or vanilla, well, that’s just my taste.

I associate homemade bagels with minced meat in the oven with the Soviet Union. I saw the recipe - and I remembered this dish, which I knew about as a child. Although I have never tried it or don’t remember that I tried it. Therefore, I decided that it was time to prepare such bagels for myself and my family. Everyone liked the dish, it was tasty and nutritious. True, the family said that you either need to put less minced meat in the bagel, or take two bagels at once. But overall I liked the recipe, I think I will repeat it again.

Great recipe...And just a super dish....I know another recipe for such delicious bagels. And you can even eat them with tea... I don’t put carrots in the minced meat, but add garlic and dried basil... And I fry the bagels with minced meat in sunflower oil in a frying pan... And I’ll tell you honestly, you eat your fingers along with the bagels ....

Thank you for reminding me of my mom. She and I loved experimenting with new recipes. We prepared something similar 10 years ago, but without carrots, it was delicious! And your recipe is even more interesting, and your tips are good! I’m bookmarking it and will please my fussy eldest son: he doesn’t want to eat meat, so I have to invent all sorts of miracles!

Tatyana, I have a question for you: is there a sweetish taste of lamb in the dish?

I’ve only seen sweet ones on sale (I just wasn’t interested in others before, but usually you see what you’re looking for), I’ll look for them!
