STEP 1

To prepare the dish, take halibut fillet, lemon (you will need a few slices), onions, fresh tomatoes (take a few slices), salt, ground black pepper, you can take your favorite spices to your taste, but so that they do not overwhelm the natural taste of the products used . not to overwhelm the taste - this is the main task of the cook; many often overuse flavors such as garlic, for example - this does not always indicate good taste.
STEP 2

Thaw the halibut fillets on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator (or top shelf, depending on where your freezer is located). Then rinse it well, be sure to dry it with kitchen paper napkins. Grease the foil with sunflower oil and lay out the fillet; we will wrap it in portions. Season the fish with salt, pepper, and lightly sprinkle with lemon juice.
STEP 3

You can leave the lemon slices nearby for flavor. Cut the onion into rings and place the rings on the surface of the fish.
STEP 4

Place a few slices of ripe tomato on top of the onion. As a result, the fish and vegetables will release a lot of juice, in which they will cook under the foil, mutually soaking and flavoring. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees in advance (10-20 minutes).
STEP 5

Roll the foil tightly into an envelope, tucking the edges inward. Place the foil envelope on a baking sheet or baking dish, seam side up, and place in the oven. If you want the liquid to evaporate, open the envelope slightly after 15 minutes. Bake for approximately 30-35 minutes (time and temperature are approximate, rely on the features of your oven).
