STEP 1

How to make galette with apples? Prepare everything you need for this. You can use any apples, but sweet and sour ones will taste good. Sift the flour through a sieve to fill it with oxygen.
STEP 2

In a large bowl, mix flour and salt and add chopped butter. Grind the butter and flour into crumbs. It is most convenient to do this by hand.
STEP 3

Then pour in cold water and knead the dough. You may need more or less flour than I did, focus on the consistency of the dough. The dough is soft and does not stick to your hands at all. Cover the dough with film and put it in the refrigerator.
STEP 4

Meanwhile, prepare the apple filling. Peel the apples, remove the core and cut into slices.
STEP 5

Roll out the chilled dough on a sheet of parchment into a thin layer, approximately 0.5 cm thick. Place chopped apples over the entire surface of the dough, not reaching the edges a little. If desired, at this stage you can add raisins, cherries or raspberries to the galette. Any addition will add a new taste.
STEP 6

Fold the edges of the dough over the apples and press. To be sure, you can lightly press it in a circle with a fork. Sprinkle the apples with sugar and add a few pieces of butter. Place the galette in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 40-45 minutes. When baking, use your oven as a guide.
STEP 7

The finished galette will be slightly browned and the apples will become soft. Remove it from the oven and immediately brush it with hot apricot jam. This will give the galette a caramel color.
STEP 8

The delicious galette with apples is ready! Enjoy your meal!
