If desired, at this stage you can add raisins, cherries or raspberries to the galette. Any addition will add a new taste.

    Fold the edges of the dough over the apples and press. To be sure, you can lightly press it in a circle with a fork. Sprinkle the apples with sugar and add a few pieces of butter. Place the galette in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 40-45 minutes. When baking, use your oven as a guide.

    The finished galette will be slightly browned and the apples will become soft. Remove it from the oven and immediately brush it with hot apricot jam. This will give the galette a caramel color.

I kneaded two portions of dough and baked two small biscuits. Their dough is crispy and has a juicy apple filling inside. The sugar and butter made the apples caramelized and very tasty. I absolutely love this type of baking, especially the combination of unleavened, unsweetened dough and sweet fruit filling. When rolling out the dough, I dusted the parchment with flour so as not to grease it with oil. I didn’t cover it with jam, I didn’t want to, and I didn’t have apricot jam. The apple galette turned out to be both crispy and juicy, we ate everything with tea at once) And what an apple aroma it would fill the whole house!

Everything was done, they are in the oven, everything happened very quickly, at first the dough seemed tight to me, I added a little boiling water, 3 minutes after kneading it immediately became soft and loose, I think the boiling water played a role - the dough turned out choux and tender, in I also added rolled oats with blueberries to the filling - I poured it on top, I don’t know what will happen - maybe an explosive mixture))) But I still smeared the coatings with egg, I wanted a shiny dough, I wait, then pack it.

Well, everything is ready, we have already taken a test with milk. And my verdict is this - I liked it very much, the dough turned out crispy, though, like biscuits, it was a little dry, otherwise I was already tired of charlottes, but this is a pleasant taste of low-fat dough and the filling is pleasant, I liked everything, thank you, Irisha, now I’ll bake them for a long time until They’ll get boring (and this won’t happen soon), I’ll do it again tomorrow, I ordered it for my husband to bring apples from the dacha. It was a good dinner!
