Frozen Brussels sprouts

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to freeze Brussels sprouts? Measure out the ingredients you need from the list. Prepare the cabbage. To do this, remove the top leaves from it, wash it, and cut off the stalks.
STEP 2

Place a large saucepan on the stove, pour water into it and boil it. Salt the water and place lemon slices in it.
STEP 3

Add the prepared Brussels sprouts to the boiling water in parts and cook for about five minutes after boiling.
STEP 4

Place the finished cabbage in a sieve and dip into ice water (I just kept it under cold running water). Allow excess water to drain.
STEP 5

Transfer the cabbage to napkins or a kitchen towel and pat dry as much as possible.
STEP 6

Now spread the cabbage in a single layer on something like a tray or baking sheet. Place in the freezer and freeze until solid. You can leave it overnight.
STEP 7

Place frozen Brussels sprouts in a bag or plastic container and store in the freezer. This cabbage does not need to be defrosted before cooking - it can be immediately added to any dish. For example, in soup, main course. If you want to make a salad out of it, then yes, you need to defrost it.
