Incredibly tasty, thick, rich, with a creamy note. Friendship porridge with milk in a saucepan is cooked from two types of cereals with the addition of dried fruits. Here it is rice, millet, raisins. You can replace them with others of your choice, and replace sugar with honey. The result is a healthier breakfast option for the whole family.

    STEP 1

How to cook Friendship porridge with milk in a saucepan? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. You can take milk of any fat content. The amount of raisins can be changed to suit your taste. I like there to be a lot of it. But, if desired, you can omit the raisins at all. Or replace it with dried apricots or prunes. For porridge, it is preferable to take short-grain rice. It cooks better and the finished porridge is more viscous.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Rinse the rice several times in cold water. Pour hot water over the raisins and leave to stand for 10-15 minutes until they steam and become soft. Pour hot water over the millet and leave to stand for 5 minutes. Thanks to this, the bitterness will go away from the millet. Then drain the water from the rice, millet and raisins.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

I cook porridge, usually in a non-stick pan. Pour milk into the selected pan for cooking, place on the fire and bring to a boil. Add sugar and a pinch of salt to the milk. You can change the amount of sugar to your taste.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add rice and millet to milk. Stir, bring to a boil and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Then add raisins and butter to the pan. Boil the porridge for another 5 minutes and remove from heat. Leave the porridge to stand covered for another 10 minutes so that it steams. By the way, raisins and butter can be added later, directly to the plates before serving.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

The porridge will absorb the milk and the cereal will increase in size. Place the finished porridge on plates and serve hot. Additionally, you can add berries to the porridge. Bon appetit!

I cook friendship porridge regularly. It is tasty and filling, just what you need for breakfast. However, in this recipe for friendship porridge with milk in a saucepan, I noticed that you can also add buckwheat to millet and rice. I've never cooked like this before. I cooked the porridge with 1 liter of liquid (500 ml of water and 500 ml of milk). I took 70 grams of each type of cereal. I didn’t add raisins, since my family doesn’t really like them in their porridges. During the cooking time suggested in the recipe, all the cereals boiled perfectly and became soft. The version of friendship porridge with buckwheat turned out to be very tasty. It gives a subtle but very pleasant shade to the overall taste. Now I will cook like this. With buckwheat it turns out more aromatic, filling and tasty. Yulia, thank you very much for an excellent version of a familiar dish.

My daughter has loved Druzhba porridge since kindergarten, so I cook it from time to time. According to this recipe, it turned out tasty, aromatic, satisfying! I took short-grain rice for the porridge and washed it well. I also always pour boiling water over millet, I do this a couple of times. Then I rinse it well. I combined the cereals in a saucepan and poured milk over them. For sweetness, one spoon of sugar was enough for us. After twenty minutes on low heat, I put a piece of butter in the pan, heated it for another 5 minutes and left it to steam under the lid. After about 15 minutes, all the liquid was absorbed and the porridge became thick. The rice and millet were well nourished with milk and butter. My daughter doesn’t like raisins, so she served it with banana. Friendship porridge with milk in a saucepan turned out very tasty!
