Step-by-step preparation

Cooking timeCooking time: 40 mins
  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

This amount of ingredients makes 15 cutlets. Prepare the minced meat with onions:

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Place the minced meat in a large bowl and knead thoroughly with your hands until smooth. The more you knead or twist the minced meat through a meat grinder, the more tender the cutlets will be.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Grate the peeled onion on a fine grater. Tip: to avoid crying too much, you need to moisten the grater with cold water. You can grind the onions through a meat grinder, but the cutlets will be less fluffy.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

By grating the onion on a fine grater we get an airy onion puree.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Remove the crumb from the bread and soak it in water or milk for a few minutes.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Add onion pulp and squeezed pulp to the minced meat.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Mix the mixture thoroughly, adding black pepper and salt.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Pour the breading into a clean, dry bowl.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

    Forming cutlets.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Roll the cutlets in breadcrumbs or flour on both sides.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Place the cutlets in heated vegetable oil and fry for a few minutes until golden brown.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Then turn the cutlets over and fry on the other side.

The resulting cutlets are very “modest” For the amount of minced meat that suits my taste, there is a lot of bun, and I soak the bun in milk. and there are no eggs. This is just right for poor students!

I like to carry out “onion” work in a vegetable cutter (attached to the blender). Convenient and quick - just a couple of clicks of your fingers - and you can avoid tedious grating! And the cutlets look very appetizing!

And I never add an egg to minced cutlets, and not because I don’t have one, it’s just that the cutlets seem more tender to me. But the loaf can be smaller.

Ohh, so much onion on a grater - it’s chewy))) during the period of colds, of course, it’s useful, but you’ll shed a lot of tears. And the cutlets turned out to be soulful, homemade, but it’s better to make the minced meat yourself, otherwise who knows what they put in the store-bought one )

the cutlets turn out just normal, the onion does its job, but it’s better to use homemade crackers, then the cutlets will be golden brown and not dark
