STEP 1

How to bake fish in the oven with carrots and mayonnaise? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. You can use any fish fillet for this recipe. It can be cod, like mine, pollock, hake, pink salmon or any other that you like. If the fish is frozen, then remove it from the freezer in advance and leave it to thaw at room temperature. Do not immerse fish in hot water. This will make it dry.
STEP 2

Soak the defrosted fish fillet with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Cut the fish into small pieces and sprinkle with lemon juice. Lemon will remove that obsessive fishy smell. Sprinkle each piece of fish with a little salt and fish spices. Keep in mind that the dish will also contain mayonnaise, which will add a little more salt to the dish.
STEP 3

Place the fish pieces in a baking dish. The shape can be glass, ceramic or metal. Peel the onions and carrots and rinse. Chop the onion and grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
STEP 4

Spread the chopped onion and then the carrots in an even layer over the fish. In a separate glass, mix mayonnaise with water and pour over the fish.
STEP 5

Using a spoon, spread a layer of mayonnaise over the entire surface of the carrots. Place the pan in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 40-45 minutes. When baking, use your oven as a guide. Read more about this in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe.
STEP 6

There will be enough liquid in the fish while baking. But there won’t be much of it left in the finished dish. And the dish itself will become an appetizing golden color. Remove the pan from the oven and place the fish on a plate.
STEP 7

The finished fish with onions and carrots turns out very tasty. It goes perfectly with a side dish of mashed potatoes or boiled rice. Bon appetit!
