Eggs stuffed with cod liver

A simple and tasty snack without long cooking. Especially when the eggs are already boiled. This snack is very popular after Easter, when every family still has a lot of colors and eats them just like you don’t want to. This recipe is a matter of minutes, and there is variety on the table. Many people have also heard about cod liver, the product is delicious and keeping a jar in stock is not a bad idea: it will come in handy in salads and rolls. And in combination with egg yolks, the taste is harmonious, slightly salty, seasoned with herbs and, it must be said, without a sharp fishy smell.

    Prepare food. Rinse the greens under cool water and dry. Boil the eggs for 15-16 minutes from the moment they boil and immediately cool under cold water, they need to be “hard-boiled”.

    Then cut the eggs in half and separate the yolks into a deep bowl. Separate the parsley leaves from the stems and chop very finely. If desired, you can add other favorite greens; I often add a sprig of cilantro, dill and a small stalk of green onion.

    Mash the yolks thoroughly; a fork will do this well.

    Drain the oil from the cod liver and add to the yolks. Again, work well with a fork, kneading and rubbing the mass, to achieve homogeneity.

    Add greens, stir.

    Take a sample and add salt if necessary. Add a little mayonnaise, but not too much. Sprinkle with a little pepper if desired. Mix everything well, the mass should be homogeneous and plastic, but not liquid.

    Fill the egg halves. This can be done with a teaspoon or use a pastry syringe or bag. Decorate at your discretion. On weekdays I just use parsley leaves or dill. You can prepare it for the holiday table in the form of a themed boat.

A quick and tasty snack: eggs stuffed with cod liver! Boiled the eggs, cooled and cut them in half. I took out the yolks and mashed them with a fork. Added cod liver, chopped herbs (I used celery), tsp. mayonnaise and stir until smooth. I poured the mixture into the egg white halves and decorated with herbs. This is such a simple and delicious way to prepare an appetizing dish! Thanks to the author of BLUE-EYED for the idea!
