  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Prepare all ingredients. Take eggs of any category, but preferably white. Also, to prepare the paste, prepare water and potato starch. As decoration you can use cereals (corn, rolled oats, buckwheat), seasonings and spices (sesame, rosemary, dried herbs, bay leaves, paprika), small flower buds and so on. In general, it all depends on your imagination and the availability of certain cereals and spices at home.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Remove the eggs from the refrigerator in advance. Wash the eggs under water to remove any dirt particles that may remain on the shell, and let them sit at room temperature for a while.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover with warm water. Approximately the same temperature of water and eggs will avoid sudden temperature changes and will not lead to the formation of cracks in the shell. Place the pan with eggs on the fire. After boiling, cook the eggs over medium heat for 10-12 minutes. Place the hard-boiled eggs in a container of cold water. This is done to make it easier to peel off the shell later.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Start cooking the paste on which all the eco-decor will be glued. Pour 50 ml into the bowl. cold water and add potato starch, stir. The remaining 100 ml. Pour the water into a ladle and bring the water to a boil. While stirring the water with a whisk, add the starch solution in a thin stream. Continue cooking the paste for several minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture becomes thick enough. Then remove the ladle from the heat and let the paste cool.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Remove the cooled eggs from the water and wipe them dry. Using a regular brush, apply the paste to the area of the egg that you plan to cover with cereal or spice.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Using the coated part, pressing lightly, lower the egg into the eco-decor, and then place the egg on a dish with the decorated part on top so that the decor dries and sets. Do the same with the steel eggs.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Go back to the first egg. If the decor has already set, coat the next part of the egg with paste and dip it in another cereal or spice. Coat and decorate all parts of the eggs in this way.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

A certain amount of eco-decor will crumble when drying, but there is nothing to worry about. If desired, on top of this decor you can glue bay leaves, flower buds, various sprigs of herbs, and so on onto the paste.

Well, it’s very entertaining and interesting to decorate eggs in this way. The flight of fancy can be limitless! And how the children liked to create such beauty. I had a small deviation, I did not cook the paste, but used the white of a raw egg. He did an excellent job. BUT, I want to note that all of our seasonings were small. If you use cereals or large spices in the decor, then you won’t be able to stick them with protein; you will need a paste. The children put matching liquid glitter on some of the eggs, which turned out well too. Nika, thank you very much for the beautiful Easter eggs, we had a lot of fun!
