Easy orange pie in the oven

STEP 1

How to bake a simple orange pie in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients.
STEP 2

Take an orange, wash it under running water with a special fruit detergent or soda, and dry it. We need to collect the zest from half an orange. To do this, grate the colored part of the peel on a fine grater. In this case, you need to try not to touch the white soft layer, because then the zest will be bitter.
STEP 3

Remove the zest from the second half of the peel with a knife and finely chop. This is necessary in order to further decorate our baked goods.
STEP 4

Peel the orange from any remaining peel and divide into slices.
STEP 5

Peel each slice from films and seeds (if any) and cut into 2-3 parts.
STEP 6

Wash the eggs in running water and soda, as there may be harmful bacteria on their surface. Beat them into a bowl, add sugar and beat with a mixer into a fluffy, stable foam for about 5 minutes. Sift the flour with baking powder through a sieve and add in parts to the bowl, beating with a mixer at low speed. Place orange pulp and grated zest into the dough. Mix gently with a spatula, being careful not to let the dough settle. You may need less or more flour.
STEP 7

The dough should be like thick sour cream. Take a baking dish and line the bottom with baking paper. Next, grease the bottom and walls with butter. Pour the orange batter into the mold and smooth it out with a silicone spatula. Bake the orange pie for about 30 minutes in an oven preheated to 180°C. The times are approximate, be guided by the operating characteristics of your oven.
STEP 8

Remove the finished pie from the mold and place on a plate. To decorate, sprinkle it with powdered sugar and chopped zest. Serve the pie to the table. Bon appetit!
