  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Let's make a sponge cake. Divide the eggs into whites and yolks.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Beat the egg whites with sugar and cold water until stiff. Then add the yolks. At the end, add flour with starch and baking powder. Mix everything with a whisk.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour our mixture onto paper. I have a sheet 38 by 40 cm.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

    Spread the dough.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 8-10 minutes. We take it out and immediately turn it over on a towel. Let's remove the paper. And we'll trim the edges. Coat the finished biscuit with liqueur with a brush. You can take any liqueur.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Whip 200 ml of cream with powdered sugar (50 g) and vanilla sugar. I also add whipping powder. But there are creams that already contain it. Therefore, do as you usually beat. Drain the tangerines from the juice. And put it on the cream.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

We cut the layer into strips 6 cm wide. I got 4 pieces. Roll one up and place it in the middle of the dish.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

We wrap the remaining strips around. I coated the top with the remaining cream.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

We secure it around with a special ring. And put it in the refrigerator. I put it away for the night.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

The next day I made this hare. Take marzipan and mix it with cocoa. Leaving a little light marzipan. We form a ball, this is the body of a hare. Let's make paws. And we make a tail out of white, dip it in coconut. This is how the hare turns out. To prevent the tail from falling off, I secured it with a toothpick.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Remove the ring from the cake. Whip another 100ml of cream with 25g of powdered sugar. And coat the sides.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Decorating the cake. We put our hare, sprinkle with ground pistachios, and you can also add chocolate eggs or candies (I have marmalade ones).

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

This is how it looks in cross section. Light, tasty, interesting cake! Bon appetit and happy Easter!

Esenija, unusual "shaping" of the cake inside. And the bunny adds a cheerful note. A real treat for those with a sweet tooth. Well done!
