  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to deliciously bake a whole dorado in the oven? Prepare the fish. If you have it frozen, then remove it from the freezer in advance and leave it at room temperature until completely defrosted.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

The recipe used freshly caught sea fish, so I indicated the cooking time without taking into account defrosting. Clean the fish from scales, remove all the entrails and gills. Rinse each carcass under running cold water and dry with paper kitchen towels or napkins.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Prepare the marinade. In a small deep cup or plate, mix soy sauce, vegetable oil and spices. I took turmeric (it gave the sea bream an amazing golden hue), a clove of garlic, passed through a press, 0.5 tsp. spoons of dried rosemary and a pinch of nutmeg. If you don't have soy sauce, replace it with regular salt to taste. Mix all ingredients well.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Make shallow cuts on each fish using a sharp, thin knife. This is necessary so that the fish marinates better and bakes evenly in the oven. Using a silicone brush or your hands, coat each carcass on both sides and inside too. Leave to marinate for 10-15 minutes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Line a baking tray with baking paper or sprinkle with a small amount of vegetable oil. Place a few rings of pre-peeled and chopped onion. Place dorado in one layer on top. Place cherry tomatoes between the fish. You can exclude onions and tomatoes from the recipe; without these two ingredients it will also be very tasty.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Place the fish in a preheated oven and bake for about 15-30 minutes (depending on the size of the dorada and the capabilities of your oven). Each carcass was the size of a palm, I baked it at 200 degrees, “top-bottom” mode for about 20 minutes.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Serve the finished fish hot with vegetables and fresh salads. Offer it with all kinds of sauces if desired.
