  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

    Products

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Grease the mold with oil and sprinkle with flour or semolina. Instead of a rectangular one (I have it measuring 30x21 cm), naturally, a round one with a diameter of 24-26 cm will do.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Break eggs into a bowl, add sugar, salt, vanillin. Whisk lightly until the sugar dissolves.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Then add sour cream and soda slaked with vinegar to the egg mixture.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Sift flour into the resulting mixture.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Mix the dough. The consistency should be similar to thick sour cream.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Pour the dough into the prepared pan.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Now let’s start laying out the currants on the surface of the pie. You can lay it out as you please, but I do it in rows at a distance of 2 - 3 cm to evenly distribute the berries. And put the pie in the preheated oven. Bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

When the cake is baked, remove it from the pan and cut it into pieces (of any shape). I cut it square because the shape is rectangular.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

We put it on a dish, you can sprinkle the pie with powdered sugar on top, it will look even more appetizing!

Thank you for participating in the Best Recipe of the Week competition. You have made a neat and tasty pie. Thanks for the simple but interesting recipe. A few notes to help make future photos better. 1. The site accepts horizontal photographs, since when photographing vertically, part of the dish in the main photo creeps down and is not visible. 2. Pay attention to sharpness. The dish with the beautiful pie is blurry, but the teapot and the wall are clear. But it should be the other way around. Therefore, after each frame taken, it is better to zoom in on the photo and see whether it is clear or not, which areas are blurred and how much. 3. Light. Artificial lighting, unless it is professional photography equipment, is very harmful to any photograph: unnatural reflections, glare, yellowness appear and are crowned with sharp, rough shadows. Therefore, if possible, it is better to switch to photographing near a window in the morning or daytime. Khrumka has two articles to help beginning food photographers: How to photograph food. A guide for beginners. How to photograph food. Food photography for beginners.
