  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make cottage cheese sticks? Prepare your ingredients. Choose good quality cottage cheese, without milk fat substitutes. Fat content can be any. Keep in mind that the higher the fat percentage, the more caloric the dish becomes.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Combine the egg with sugar and vanilla sugar. Whisk everything together.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Rub the cottage cheese through a sieve. This will get rid of lumps, and the cottage cheese will become tender and homogeneous. Instead of a sieve, you can punch the cottage cheese with an immersion blender. Add the cottage cheese to the beaten eggs and mix.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Sift the flour and pour into a bowl with the curd mass. It is better to add flour in two or three additions in order to be able to adjust its amount up or down depending on the moisture content of the cottage cheese and the properties of the flour. Knead into a sticky, homogeneous dough.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Roll out the prepared dough into ropes on a floured work surface.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Cut the rope into small equal pieces. Roll each piece of dough into equal sized sticks.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan. Fry the curd sticks in hot oil until golden brown. Fry them in small batches so that the sticks float freely in the saucepan. Remove the finished sticks from the fryer with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to absorb excess fat.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Place the cottage cheese sticks on a plate, sprinkle with powdered sugar and garnish with mint. Bon appetit!

This is just some kind of miracle! A minimum of time and ingredients and voila - the dessert is ready! It is better to increase the portion of food. 350 grams of cottage cheese and two eggs make a complete dish of treats for any occasion. We cooked together with the child, he rolled out the curd sticks, and I just had time to fry, because it’s so simple and quick! Then we got into the spirit and continued making balls and pretzels) Decorated with powder and dried mint, but this is not only a decoration, without these additions the dish is not complete. I definitely recommend it for cooking!

I tried to make the same ones. I added a little more portions. But it didn't work out. In order to sculpt at least a little, I had to add more flour, in the end the results were not at all soft and melted in the mouth

Today I made sticks according to your recipe. I added flour in portions to get the same mass as in the photo, it took about 150 grams of flour. To form the sticks, I coated my hands with vegetable oil. My sticks weren’t very even, but it didn’t affect the taste. I'm attaching a photo of the split, it turned out delicious! The sticks are soft and moderately sweet. The children ate it, dipping it in condensed milk, with great pleasure! Maria, thank you very much for the recipe. I will repeat it, especially since it took about 10-15 minutes to prepare.
