  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake manna with cottage cheese? Prepare your food. The fat content of sour cream cottage cheese is not particularly important, just keep in mind that the calorie content will change. Also choose the amount of sugar to suit your taste.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Divide the eggs into yolks and whites. Try to do this as carefully as possible, the whites must be absolutely clean, even a drop of yolk will not allow them to beat well.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Take a bowl with yolks, add cottage cheese, sugar, sour cream and vanilla sugar.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Mix the ingredients. I pureed them using an immersion blender. The mass became absolutely smooth and tender. But even with simple mixing with a spoon, the result will be good. The only thing I would advise is to rub the cottage cheese through a sieve to get rid of grains.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Mix semolina with baking powder. Add it to the curd mass. Stir until smooth.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Beat the egg whites with a mixer until stiff peaks form. This will take about 5 minutes, the whites should become very thick. This is important because they, along with the baking powder, will be responsible for the rise of the dough during baking.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Add the whipped whites to the dough and fold them in very carefully. Accuracy is important so that the air bubbles that form when beating the whites do not burst; they will raise the dough. The finished dough will be very soft and fluid.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Take a baking dish. You can bake in absolutely any shape, both in shape and material. I have silicone, I don’t need to do anything with it. Grease molds made from other materials with a small amount of vegetable oil.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Bake the manna in the oven at 180°C for 45-55 minutes until golden brown.

In our family, we really love cottage cheese pastries, and we also respect manna cakes))) I have already tried many recipes for different manna cakes from our website, and have identified the most successful ones for myself. The only thing left in the plans is manna with sour cream. And then I saw a recipe for cottage cheese manna. I definitely decided to cook it on occasion. I was sure it would turn out delicious. And it turned out just VERY tasty. The manna turned out to be such a wonderful structure, a little dense, but at the same time tender, with a pronounced taste of cottage cheese. I was very pleased with the result. After consulting with the author, I added some raisins for testing. I took 50 grams less cottage cheese than was in the pack. The amount of sugar was also slightly reduced to 170 grams. I made it in a regular round ceramic mold. I greased the mold with butter and sprinkled it with semolina. I definitely want to repeat it. The family also really liked this recipe))) Next time I will take 300 grams of cottage cheese and increase the amount of raisins. For me, this recipe will remain in demand. I really wanted to make such a cottage cheese manna for Easter, only in a beautiful form, as in the photo, and decorate it with white icing and nuts. The author did it so beautifully!!! Ekaterina, thank you so much for the recipe. Here is my photo report)))

I also wondered what would happen if you combined manna and cottage cheese) I baked cottage cheese manna with cottage cheese, it was delicious. I only changed the amount of sugar in the recipe, using a little less than a glass. The dough turned out airy and light, although it fell a little during baking. I baked it in a mold with a diameter of 18 cm. I really liked the result) The pie turned out dense and juicy, but not tough. The crumb is tender, silky, the crust is golden brown, slightly crunchy from the semolina. I didn’t water it with anything, I just didn’t have time for that) The pie went well for breakfast, there’s also semolina and cottage cheese, just the right ingredients for a delicious breakfast) Thanks for the recipe and the new experience!

Happy with this recipe. It contains cottage cheese and my children ate it)). Added raisins. It turned out moderately soft. At first I was afraid that there was no need to soak the semolina. But you can’t feel it inside, and the outside turns out to be a slightly crunchy crust.
