Curd cake with vanilla sugar and orange zest

Delicate, curd muffin is good for breakfast or tea! I want to share a recipe for a tender cottage cheese cake! I recently baked a cottage cheese cake like this - my family was delighted, now they are asking me to bake it again.

So, I’m sharing the recipe: beat fresh curd (it will be better if it is loose, crumbly, and not “compacted” in a pack) with a mixer or passed through a meat grinder to obtain a homogeneous curd mass.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add sugar, softened butter and lemon or orange zest for flavor. Beat well again.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

While beating, gradually add the remaining ingredients, namely:

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

chicken eggs one at a time

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

    vanilla sugar,

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

fresh milk and wheat flour mixed with baking powder, soda and salt.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Try to get a homogeneous dough for the curd cake.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Now let's take out the mold for our wonderful cake, grease it with oil and place the dough in it.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Preheat the oven to about 200 degrees and bake the cottage cheesecake for about an hour. Don't forget to place a baking tray or wide dish with water to prevent the cake from drying out. You can also add chopped apple or raisins to the curd cake if desired.

    Bon appetit!

Wonderful cupcake! Simple recipe! I love sweet pastries made from cottage cheese. And children don’t like to eat plain cottage cheese, but they won’t even notice it in a cupcake. I ran to cook!

It’s not clear why the recipe contains both baking powder and baking soda? In essence, this is the same thing, only the soda needs to be extinguished, but the baking powder does not. Please explain, LUSINA. I really love cottage cheese dough. I would like to make cottage cheese cake according to your recipe.

Marina also became interested in this issue and searched the internet. Here's what I found:Why are both soda and baking powder present in the recipe? In baking powder, the amount of soda and acid is selected so that they react without leaving a residue. But the recipe may contain products that have a strong acidic reaction. This is why additional soda is added.Products used in baking that have an acidic reaction: - fermented milk products (sour cream, kefir, yogurt, whey, yogurt, etc.). d.), - fruit juices and purees, - vinegar and crystalline citric acid, - honey, - sugar syrups, - chocolate and cocoa, - eggs.
