Cucumber salad with garlic dill herbs

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make cucumber salad for the winter with garlic? Prepare your ingredients. Take any vegetable oil, I used sunflower oil. You can change the set of seasonings and herbs to your taste. Wash the cucumbers and greens well and dry. Peel the garlic.
STEP 2

Separately, I want to say about dill. The dill should be young and fresh, without flowering, otherwise the salad will taste different, more like ordinary pickled cucumbers, keep this in mind!
STEP 3

Cut the ends off both sides of the cucumbers. Transfer the cucumbers to a large container, cover with cold water and leave for 3 hours. Thanks to this method of soaking, the cucumbers will become especially crispy.
STEP 4

After three hours, rinse the soaked cucumbers again and let the water drain from the vegetables through a colander. Cut the cucumbers into slices.
STEP 5

Cut the garlic cloves into thin slices. Finely chop the washed greens.
STEP 6

Transfer the vegetables and herbs into a deep container, preferably glass or plastic. Add garlic, sugar, salt, black pepper, vegetable oil and vinegar to them. Mix everything well. Leave the salad at room temperature for at least 3 hours. You can leave it overnight. Cover the top of the container with a napkin. During the specified time, the salad must be stirred periodically so that the sugar and salt dissolve and the spices nourish the vegetables and herbs well.
STEP 7

Prepare glass jars by sterilizing them in a water bath, microwave or oven. Boil the lids. Divide the salad into jars. The color of the cucumbers will tell you when the salad is ready: it should be olive. Pour the juice formed in the container into jars up to the shoulders so that it covers the salad. Cover the jars with lids and sterilize them in a saucepan by placing a cloth on the bottom and filling with water so that it reaches the shoulders of the jars. For 0.5 l cans - 15 min
STEP 8

Roll up the jars, cool them upside down under a blanket and store them in the pantry. Bon appetit!
