Creamy carrot and red lentil soup

Delicate creamy soup will pleasantly complement your Lenten table!!! The soup turns out very tender. The only thing is that next time I will add a little more pumpkin, as for me, its taste is slightly lost behind the lentils, but in any case it turns out very tasty. If you are not fasting, you can serve the soup with cream or sour cream, and cook the soup not in water, but in broth.

I made creamy carrot and red lentil soup for lunch today - very tasty, and most importantly, healthy. Lentils perfectly complement the taste of vegetables. I experimented a little with spices: I added seasoning for vegetable soups, dry garlic and sumac. Served with homemade croutons. Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

I prepared this cream soup according to your recipe, it turned out quite tasty, and everyone in the family liked it. I added a little more pumpkin as you wrote and I really felt a hint of pumpkin and lentils complementing the flavors. When serving, I still added cream and added croutons to the finished soup. Tasty! I advise everyone to try it.

A little advice: in order for this soup to continue to remain lean, for fat content you need to add coconut milk, not cream. And by the way, the taste will also be a winner! Irisha, the photo is just superb!

Yes, great photo! I love creamy soups. I prepared the soup in chicken broth and served it with croutons and pieces of chicken Anait, an excellent soup, I think it’s very tasty with meat. My mother decided to fast, so I have to gradually introduce a Lenten menu
