  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to fry cottage cheese donuts in oil? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Break an egg into a bowl and add sugar to it. Mix everything with a whisk.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Then add the required amount of cottage cheese and mix everything until smooth. It is best to use cottage cheese, rubbed through a sieve. Thanks to this, there will be no pieces of cottage cheese in the finished donuts, and the consistency will be evenly tender.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour a little baking soda into a tablespoon and quench it with vinegar. To do this, drop a little vinegar into a spoon with soda and, when the mass foams well, add it to the dough. Stir.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Sift the flour through a sieve and add a little to the dough, gradually mixing it in. You should get a dough that practically does not stick to your hands. When the flour is almost incorporated into the dough, you can turn it out onto a lightly floured counter and knead it with your hands.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Roll the finished dough into small balls, approximately the size of a walnut. If the dough is a little sticky, you can grease your hands with vegetable oil.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour vegetable oil into a small but deep frying pan. There should be enough of it so that the donuts fry freely in it. Heat the oil until hot. Place the dough balls into the hot oil. Do this very carefully so as not to burn your hands. It is convenient to lower the balls one at a time. Fry them over medium heat until delicious, golden brown.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Then, using a knife or fork, turn the donuts over to the other side and fry the same way for another couple of minutes. If so much oil has been poured that the donuts float freely in it, then when ready, they themselves turn over with the raw part down.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Place finished donuts on paper towels. Thanks to this, excess oil will be removed from them, and they will not be too greasy. Sprinkle the finished cottage cheese donuts, fried in a frying pan, with powdered sugar and help yourself. Bon appetit!

I liked the cottage cheese donuts because of the ease of preparation and the availability of ingredients. I made these donuts for breakfast. I took the ingredients for 10 servings. Instead of vanilla, I added a teaspoon of vanilla sugar. I got 25 pieces. These donuts are quite dense, but soft. They are porous inside. The donuts are moderately sweet with a pleasant aroma and taste of vanilla. They reminded me of sunflower seeds in that you don’t even notice that you’re eating them. Your hand just reaches out to them. Julia, thank you very much for the wonderful recipe!

Yes, I like donuts with cottage cheese. I generally love donuts, although you can’t call them diet food. I suggest you look at this recipe for donuts in the oven. Very soft, rich donuts that don’t need to be fried!
