    STEP 1

How to bake homemade cookies in a gas pan like when you were a child? Prepare all ingredients. These cookies were previously prepared only with margarine, but they can be replaced with butter (I have never cooked with butter). Take margarine from a trusted manufacturer. Cut it into cubes, melt it in a water bath and leave it on the table to cool. My eggs are category CO. Sift the flour so that it is saturated with oxygen. This will make the cookies more tender.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Rinse chicken eggs with cold water and dry. Break the eggs one at a time into a deep bowl, add sugar and stir until the ingredients are combined.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour cooled melted margarine into the eggs and stir.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add sifted flour, soda, slaked with vinegar, and knead into a homogeneous thick dough. It took me 160 grams of flour - 1.5 cups, it may take a little more. The consistency of the dough should be slightly thicker than pancake dough. This dough is convenient to spread with a spoon.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Place the cookie pan on the stove and let it warm up completely. Use a ladle to place the dough in the middle of one half of the pan and cover with the other half without pressing. Place on the fire and fry on one side first until golden brown.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Then turn the pan over to the other side and fry on the other side. When the pan is very hot, less than a minute on each side will be enough. Make the heat a little less than medium so that your pan does not burn and smoke due to leaking fat and dough. In total, I managed to make six passes with this amount of dough.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place the finished cookies immediately on a plate lined with napkins or a paper towel. While it's hot, you can cut it into individual segments - in my shape these are triangles. You can transfer the cooled cookies into a beautiful dish or bread bowl and serve. Enjoy your tea!

Just nostalgic for childhood! I also remembered this recipe for my favorite nuts in a gas pan with condensed milk.

For the New Year I made “nut” cookies, and today I was sorting out the dishes, looked at the nut tree and remembered that I also have a cookie mold. Indeed, these Soviet cookie and waffle molds bring back pleasant memories from childhood. That’s why I found a recipe for cookies in a gas pan like I did in childhood. I have this shape (in the photo), there are no animal prints, but there are round indentations. I immediately liked the recipe; this is roughly how I bake Viennese waffles. I replaced the soda with baking powder, I just feel any amount of soda in the dough) There is not enough sugar in the dough, the cookies turned out not very sweet, which is very good after New Year's sweet gifts) I still had to get used to the cast iron mold and remember how to use it. It turned out that it is necessary to lubricate the surface with oil before each use. I tried to skip this step and the cookies immediately stuck. Cookies bake quickly, it’s better not to leave the stove. I advise you to place foil under the burner, as oil may leak out. I laid out three heaped tablespoons of dough per serving. The cookies turned out crispy, a little soft inside. Slightly similar to Viennese waffles, but thinner and drier. Very tasty with milk or cocoa. My family scooped up the whole batch at one time) Thanks for the recipe and good memories!
